Giving Back to the Community

Working With Several Local Organizations

Berman Moving & Storage believes strongly in giving back. To fulfill our commitment to the community, we work in partnership with several local organizations that support families and the medically fragile in the Greater Cleveland area.

These partnerships include donating trucks and/or labor for organizations that help collect, organize and deliver donations of food, household and medical needs for families who may not otherwise have access to these goods and services.

The Gathering Place

Berman partners with The Gathering Place and provides a truck to pick up donations for the organization each week as well as additional trucks when they have a warehouse sale. Annually, we also support the Race for the Place.

Move for Hunger

For Move for Hunger, we deliver unopened, non-perishable food items that relocating families might otherwise discard to local families with food insecurity. Since partnering with Move for Hunger, Berman has successfully delivered over 2,000 pounds of food. Learn more about Move for Hunger here.

Additional Support Provided

Berman also supports Cleveland Kids Book Bank by delivering and placing the collection boxes around Cleveland so that the organization can spend more of their budget on literacy programs instead of costly administrative tasks.

Three times a year Berman donates trucks and labor to Medworks for their health fairs. These large-scale medical, dental and vision clinics serve those who otherwise would not have access to this essential care, as Medworks plays an integral role in linking people who are uninsured and underinsured with healthcare.

Berman also offers moving services for developmentally disabled clients at reduced or no fee.
